Terms

Client Sites Terms

These are the terms for websites built and hosted by StraightPath Digital LLC ("we", "us"). Your monthly price, any discount, and anything specific to your business are in the one-page schedule we send you by email. If the schedule and this page disagree, the schedule wins.

Plain English on purpose. If something here is unclear, ask before you agree to it.

1. Client Site subscription

What you get

  • A website of up to five pages: typically Home, Services, About, and Contact.
  • A request-a-quote or contact form that emails you when someone fills it out. The form sends the visitor's details straight to you; we do not keep them beyond delivering that email. What you do with them after that is up to you.
  • Your domain name, hosting, SSL (the padlock), and a site that works on phones.
  • An email address at your domain (yourname@yourbusiness.com) that forwards to the inbox you already use. It is forwarding, not a separate mailbox. We help you set up replying from that address (easiest in Gmail).
  • Search basics: local business schema, a sitemap, and submission to Google Search Console. We walk you through setting up your Google Business Profile; you create and own that profile.
  • A link back to StraightPath Digital in the footer. It is on every client site we build, at every price.

Routine edits are included

Email or text us a change and it is normally live within two business days. Routine means things like hours, phone number, prices, your service list, swapping a photo, or fixing wording. Rule of thumb: if it takes us under 30 minutes and does not add a page, it is included. Routine edits are for a reasonable number of changes a month; if it becomes a lot, we will talk about it.

New work is quoted

If a request is bigger than routine, we tell you and quote it before doing anything. New pages, a redesign, a new feature, or anything beyond a routine edit gets a fixed quote first. Nothing starts until you agree to the quote. We do not bill by the hour and there are no "included hours" to keep track of.

Not included

A gallery, posts, or other content you publish yourself. That is the Posts subscription in section 2.

Billing

Your subscription starts at go-live, not while we are building it. Go-live is the day we publish your site at your domain. If we are waiting on you for more than 30 days, we may go live with what we have. You are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. Partial months are not refunded. If we end the agreement, we refund any days you prepaid past the end date.

2. Posts subscription (add-on)

Posts is an optional add-on to your Client Site subscription, billed on the same invoice. You send us photos (a note is optional) through the app or email address we set up for you; they show up on your site automatically. On your site it may be labeled "Recent Work", "Gallery", "What's New", or whatever fits your business. Same feature either way.

How to send

Send photos, with a short note if you like, to the app or email address we set up for you. Anything sent somewhere else, or without a photo, is not posted.

What gets posted

  • Your own work and your own photos.
  • No customer names or faces without that customer's approval. No street addresses, use only the town name.
  • We may hold, trim, or decline a post. If we do, we will tell you why.

Timing and volume

Posting is automatic and normally live within one business day. We do not guarantee same-day. The add-on covers up to 30 posts a month; if you regularly need more, talk to us.

Ownership

Your photos and words stay yours. You let us publish, resize, and crop what you send on your site. We show them as examples only if your schedule says so or you tell us it is OK for a specific one.

Captions may be written or tidied automatically. If one is wrong, tell us and we fix it as a routine edit.

Ending Posts

You can drop Posts at any time: email us, and it ends at the close of your current billing month. We can end it with 30 days' notice. Either way, your monthly total drops by the Posts price from the next invoice, your Client Site subscription continues as before, and everything already posted stays on your site. Nothing new is added.

3. General rules

Your domain

We register and manage your domain on your behalf. It is yours. If you leave, we transfer it to you at no charge from us; you pay the registrar's transfer fee if there is one. We keep renewing it for 90 days after the agreement ends; after that we may let it expire.

Your content, our code

Your business name, logo, photos, and text are yours. That includes text we wrote for your site and any logo we design for you. The site's design, code, and the systems behind it are ours and stay ours. If you leave, you get your domain and a copy of your content: within 14 days of the end we send you your site's text and photos, including posts, by download link. We delete our copy after 90 days. You do not get the site's code or a working copy of the site.

You are responsible for what your content says and for having the right to use anything you send us. We may remove content we believe is unlawful or infringing.

Ending the agreement

You can cancel at any time, by email or from your billing page. It ends at the close of your current billing month. We can end it with 30 days' notice by email. Your site stays up until the end date. After that we transfer your domain and take the site down. Email forwarding ends when your domain moves.

Taking a site offline

We may take a site offline right away if it is hacked, used for something unlawful, or puts our other clients at risk, and we will tell you why.

If a payment fails

If a payment fails or an invoice goes unpaid, we let you know and retry. If it is still unpaid 14 days after it was due, the site is parked: visitors see a "temporarily unavailable" page until the balance is paid. Your email forwarding keeps working while the site is parked. If it is still unpaid 60 days after it was due, the agreement ends that day and email forwarding ends with it. Any unpaid balance is still owed. Your domain transfer offer still stands.

Uptime and outages

We host on reliable providers, keep backups, and monitor every client site we host. We cannot promise a site will never go down. If your site is down for 24 hours in a row or more because of us or our hosting providers, we credit $5 for each full 24 hours it was down, on your next invoice. We find these from our monitoring; you do not need to ask. We do not credit shorter outages, or outages at Google, Stripe, or your own internet provider. A site parked for non-payment is not down.

Limits

Our responsibility to you is limited to what you paid us in the previous month. The downtime credit is your only remedy for downtime. We do not guarantee search rankings, leads, or that every form or email arrives, and we are not responsible for lost business or profits.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will email you at least 30 days before a change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change. If you don't want a change, you can end the agreement before it takes effect. Your schedule only changes if we both agree in writing. Your price only changes if we both agree in writing.
